TestBot ETS File Creation

  1. Right Click the Set Folder and Select New -> other.Select “TestBot Set” and click Next

Configure ETS File

  1. Navigate to the Configuration tab, provide a name and description for the test set and Specify the report path by browsing to the desired location.

  1. To add a Test Item, click the “Add” button. A TestBot Set property window will appear.

  1. In the ID field, browse to the test item and choose a file with the .eti extension. In this example, select sample_item.eti.

Selecting the Test Item
  1. Enter the name and description of the test. Specify the repeat count,indicating how many times the test should run. Choose the appropriate test case type and test groups and click “OK”.

  1. Click the configuration button, it will automatically navigate to the configuration tab in data file mapped to the item file, allowing you to input the data.

  1. The below screen shows the added test item in the testbot set.

  1. Run Test
    • Go to the Test Set file in the Dashboard tab.

    • Ensure the added test item is visible in the configuration tab.

    • Check the toggle key test or choose the sanity option.

    • Click the “Run Test” button.

  1. Instruction Pop-ups:
    • While running the test, the Show popup block displays instruction popup.

    • For example, if the key is off, it instructs the user to switch on the key.

  1. Monitor Test Status:

    The run status of the key is displayed, indicating whether the test is successful or if any issues were encountered.

  1. Generate Report :
    • After the test execution, a report is generated.

    • The report details the status of each key. For instance, the Numeric Lock and Caps Lock may be in the ‘on’ state as expected, while the Scroll Lock is in the ‘off’ state.
